At our Free Range farm the pigs are permanently kept outdoors for their entire life.

They roam paddocks perfect for rooting and foraging, enjoy wallows or sprinklers in the warmer months and have access to shelter with bedding for sleeping and protection from the elements when they choose.

Sows farrow their litters in huts designed to protect them from the elements.

Paddocks are rotated on a periodic basis and cropped for extended periods before pigs are allowed to return to the same site.

Westpork has operated its Mt Barker farm for over 20 years.

Westpork obtained APIQ^® Free Range Certification in 2017.
